The first of the Baby Mama photos shows Tina Fey’s buttoned-up character Kate Holbrook with her surrogate Angie Ostrowiski, played by Amy Poehler. You can tell that Kate’s apartment is very stylish and organized, but you see a bit of a mess around the sofa area where Angie is sitting, eating junk food. This Baby Mama image gives you an initial glimpse into the “odd couple” story this movie will tell.
The second of the Baby Mama photos shows Kate and Angie in some sort of group setting—perhaps this is a Lamaze class. Angie is raising her hand as if asking permission to speak, and Kate has a look on her face as if she’s thinking “please don’t embarrass me.” This Baby Mama image really makes you feel that Amy Poehler is about to demonstrate her talent for hilarious line delivery.
The third of the Baby Mama photos shows Kate and Angie again in a group setting. This time Kate looks very enthusiastic and happy and Angie is the one who seems to be feeling embarrassed. She glares at Kate as if she’s just said something outlandish. This Baby Mama image just furthers the dynamic of complete opposite personalities between Kate and Angie.
The final of the Baby Mama photos shows Kate and Angie in group once again. Kate appears to be excitedly taking notes in an effort to really learn what she needs to know about the delivery and about raising a baby. Over her shoulder you see Angie clowning around, holding breast pumps up to her eyes. How will this mismatched couple of moms-to-be make their situation work?
